do you ever think about how many things take toll on your existence? how, with every word you say, it’s one less breath of air you’ll take in your lifetime. every cigarette (supposedly) leaving you with fifteen less minutes than you’d had before. do you ever wonder why things can’t reverse? why once something is mixed, it is mixed forever? do you ever wonder why corpses exist, why the dead still exist in every sense of the word? why do we love? why do we posses emotions? do you ever wonder if your skin is really your skin, and not some reflection of a visual stimulation…well, it is. everything is a stimulation; every touch, every embrace, every breath of air coursing through your lungs. are we really here, or are we simply brains connected to a machine sending all the vital stimulations of existence? sight, smell, taste, hearing, touch. it could all be fake. it could all be simulated. is my green the same as your green, or have we simply learned it so?
am i really here?
